As an upcoming psalmist, Singer/Songwriter, Toya Jones desires to change the face of gospel music and to create music that not only tells of God’s delivering power but that also deals with the issues of life that people shy away from. Issues like Trust, suicidal thoughts, depression, the struggle with sin, etc. and how to properly deal with them. Toya released her first EP entitled “Fresh Wind” in 2010 with 6 songs she selected from her extensive collections of original songs that she wrote and composed. Two years later, Toya Jones released her 2012 full length project entitled “Victorious” which are songs inspired by God and written from her life experiences. In 2014 God led Toya to write a book to accompany the "Victorious" album entitled "I Am Victorious, The Story Behind The Song." The book reveals, in details, the experiences that prompted Toya to write each song. Gearing up for her, highly anticipated, 2015 album release "Transition", Toya Jones released her new single entitled "The Light" on December 23, 2014. In addition to her music ministry, Toya started a program for at risk, inner-city youth called the "Young Artist Development Program." In this program she indirectly ministers to the youth through the power of performing artist. Learn more about the Young Artist Development Program at www.yadp.org.
Toya believes that inspirational, gospel music should be geared towards the transformation and deliverance of souls and if given the opportunity she knows that the music God has laid on her heart will transform this generation and many to come. "In these last days the True Levites (the set apart ones) must take there place and begin to do what they were created to do." Toya Jones
